Undefeated, Pena Lets Champ Nunes Know There’s Still Work At Bantamweight

Julianna Pena is gearing up for one of the most important fights of her life at “UFC on FOX 23” this weekend when she takes on Valentina Shevechenko. The main event bout could decide who the next challenger is for Amanda Nunes’ UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, and Pena has a bit of a message for the champion.

Pena wants it to be known that with a victory this Saturday, she will have her sights set on Nunes. She told the media (via. MMA Mania)

“I don’t wanna fight no tomato cans, no hand picked fights. I’m a tough fighter and I want to prove myself against the best in the world so I can prove to myself that I am truly the best in the world. Being that Cat Zingano beat the brakes off Nunes and I dominated Cat Zingano, I think it’s fair to say that I can hang with anyone that walks around at 135 pounds inside that Octagon.”
