Pettis Teammate Takes On Grove On Just 4 Days Notice

With Bellator 174 going down this weekend in Oklahoma, it would have been tough for Bellator officials to find a replacement fighter for the co-main event. Luckily for fans, Mike Rhodes decided to step into the equation.

Middleweights Kendall Grove and Chris Honeycutt were initially set to face each other in the co-main event of Bellator 174. As first reported by MMA Junkie, Honeycutt has been pulled from the card. The reasoning of which is still unknown.

After Chris Honeycutt’s dropout just days before the event, it seemed that Grove was going to have to sit this one out. Mike Rhodes will now be making his Bellator debut against Grove in the co-main event on just a few days notice.

Bellator 174 features Julia Budd and Marloes Coenen in the main event, which will take place this Friday in the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
