Family Of Deceased Fighter Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Pettis’ Home Gym

Now three years later, the Munson family has filed a lawsuit against sued the ringside doctor, the promoter from Roufusport and other individuals they say were at fault for his death, reports Journal Sentinel Online.

The family filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday and alleges that the names listed are responsible for Munson passing, due to their inability to protect him during an unregulated bout. They also allege that he had not been wearing protective headgear and the referee for the bout allowed the young fighter to stumble around the ring, showing clear signs that he was out of it.

The complaint specifically names doctor Carlos Feliciano, Al Wichgers, Scott Cushman, Joe Nicols, Jeffrey “Duke” Roufus, Scott Joffe. Stay tuned to MMA Imports for more on this story as it develops.
