Not The GOAT! ‘Jon Jones’ Entire Career Is Tainted Due To His Steroid Use’

UFC light heavyweight star, Jon Jones.

UFC light heavyweight Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa scored an impressive first round KO over Corey Anderson in last night’s UFC Fight Night: London main event. In his post-fight interview, Manuwa called out the winner between light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, as well as former boxing champion David Haye. Surprising to some, former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was not among those of interest to the KO artist.

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Manuwa doubled down on his hit list and explained the reasoning behind his choices.

“I’m not interested in Jon Jones. Jon Jones takes steroids, and he’s been banned for steroids. Before, I was a big fan of Jon and the things he’s done in the octagon. But he’s been suspended for one year because he’s had issues before. He’s a great fighter, and I respect him. But he’s been done for steroids, and that taints everything that he’s done. So I’m not really interested.

“When he comes back, I’ll fight him. No problem. But I’m focused on the belt right now, and that’s the winner of (the UFC 210 headliner).” Manuwa told MMA Junkie.

Jon Jones is facing the end of a suspension for a failed drug test at UFC 200. The incident forced Jones to cancel his bout with current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. The failed test was due to hydroxy-clomiphene, an anti-estrogen agent, and letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor.
