Two UFC Fighters Retire After Weekend Action In London

UFC boss Dana White.

UFC Fight Night 107 went down last weekend with some exciting bouts. Jimi Manuwa knocked out Corey Anderson in an impressive display. Marc Diakiese knocked out Teemu Packalen in an exhilarating lightweight bout. The night was great, until it wasn’t.

Bittersweet, the event also faced two retirements. Respectively, WEC and UFC veteran Brad Pickett and bantamweight Ian Entwistle have played the final notes of their MMA careers.

Brad Pickett came into the event planning to retire, though his loss to Marlon Vera made things even more emotional for the fighter.

Ian Entwistle, however, was a surprise. The fighter missed weight for the event, forcing the cancellation of the planned bout with Brett Johns.

After the cancellation, Entwistle took to social media to announce his retirement.

“Won’t cut weight again given myself some health problems,” Entwistle wrote on his Facebook account. “What I need to fix before I can move on with my life. Believe me we don’t understand the risks this is my retirement.”
