Anderson Silva Wants Nick Diaz Rematch At UFC 212

Ultimate Fighting Championship fans were shocked to find out that they would not get to see Kelvin Gastelum take the next step of his career at middleweight, being forced out of his fight with Anderson “The Spider” Silva at “UFC 212” due to a flagged USADA test. Gastelum had tested positive for marijuana metabolites and was removed from the bout, leaving UFC officials scrambling last minute for an opponent.

As officials scramble for a replacement for Silva, “The Spider” was asked about the possibility of fighting Nick Diaz for his return fight. Diaz has been serving a suspension that stems from their previous fight at “UFC 183” that saw both fighters fail their drug tests. Check out what Silva told the media about a potential matchup:

“It’s something that was on the table, too, it’s possible that it happens this fight with Nick. I respect him, he’s an excellent fighter. It would be an interesting fight. It would be cool because this fight makes sense. The (first) fight was a no contest, so we’ll see. Anything can happen.”
