Bellator CEO, Scott Coker.

The Bellator MMA promotion is looking to set up an exciting event for Bellator 180. That being said, things have begun to change. After a recent injury from a competitor, one of the night’s events is going to be seeing some new blood inside the cage.

Bellator 180 goes down June 24 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. Initially, the event was set to see Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal face off against Ryan Bader. However, one of the fighters has succumb to an injury.

Bellator light heavyweight champion Phil Davis recently appeared on The MMA Hour to reveal that he will be defending his belt soonor than expected. After Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal faced an undisclosed injury, Phil Davis revealed that he will now be stepping into the show.

Now for Bellator 180’s bout, light heavyweight champion Phil Davis will be defending his title from Ryan Bader. Both mixed martial arts warriors faced off against each other at UFC on FOX 14 back in 2015, making for an awesome title fight rematch.
