Breaking: White Leaves UFC for Bellator, Takes Diaz Brothers with Him

With the rising stresses of the promotional career inside the UFC, it would appear that UFC President Dana White has stepped down from the position. Now, the former face of the UFC is looking for a change of pace inside the Bellator promotion. UFC contenders Nate and Nick Diaz appear to be following suit.

Dana White began his UFC career back in 2001. White convinced friend Lorenzo Fertitta to purchase the UFC promotion and to install him as president.

Dana White has been acting as the face of the UFC and has played a role in fight promotions ever since.

Just last year, the UFC was sold to WME-IMG for over $4 billion. White alone earned over an estimated $300 million from the transaction.

However, Bellator President Scott Coker recently admitted that he believes the recent rise of Bellator to be due to the UFC’s recent sale and their uniform deal with Reebok.

Both deals have potentially played a part in the recent rise in UFC fighters turning to free agency, many later landing contracts in the Bellator promotion.

Now, an insider source claims that Dana White is leaving the UFC to join the rising Bellator promotion. The capacity of White’s focus on Bellator is still unknown, but is expected to be revealed in the following days.

The insider source also claims that brothers Nate and Nick Diaz, two prominent contenders in the UFC competition, will also be leaving the UFC for Bellator.

An official Bellator debut date has not been announced for either fighter.

And, it probably never will be, because happy April fools day! While this story may be a simple prank, the fun can stay very real. Share with your friends and keep the fun rolling.
