As first reported by WWNYTV, high school baseball coach Lloyd Kevin Smith has been arrested after demonstrating mixed martial arts on a student.
The varsity baseball coach was demonstrating a choke-hold on a student, when the boy lost consciousness. The coach is being charged for endangering the welfare of a child.
Police have stated that the coach was demonstrating mixed martial arts maneuvers on the 16-year-old boy. After passing out from the choke-hold, the student fell to the ground and struck his head on a metal and glass door.
The coach allegedly found his players attempting mixed martial arts moves in the locker room. The coach then claimed he would show the players the proper technique for the maneuver.
It was later reported that the student has been diagnosed with a concussion.
