Tony Ferguson Demands Nate Diaz “Fight Or Retire”

Top UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson is in a state of limbo ever since Khabib Nurmagomedov was unable to make weight at UFC 209. Ferguson was poised to face the Russian for a shot at UFC gold, but the fight was put off, and now Tony is a top contender without an opponent.

With Khabib unable to fight, and Conor McGregor out on vacation, “El Cucuy” has proposed a battle of California against Nate Diaz. Tony lives in the “805” area in Southern California and Nate hails from the “209 in Stockton, a city in the state’s northern area.

The two are the highest profile fighters hailing from California, and a lightweight scrap between the two could lead to a Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor trilogy fight. It would seem like the perfect matchup for the UFC’s most intriguing and talent rich division.

In this new interview, Ferguson continues his pursuit of Nate Diaz and clears up his thoughts on Khabib. Tony calls for Nate to accept a fight or retire. Though, anyone who follows Nate knows he’s holding out for the Conor McGregor rematch, a fight that will yield him considerable return.
