Collier stayed busy while tied up, but it was Clark who was making him play his game grinding out some energy very early on in the fight. Once they separated, Clark went right back to the takedowns and finally secured one in the third minute of the fight. After getting battered by the elbows and knees of Clark, Collier again fought his way back up to his feet.

By the time the second round had kicked off, it was easy to see Collier’s punches were labored and he was very concerned about the takedowns of Clark. Collier found success in the second with his strikes, but that doesn’t mean that he took control of the round. Clark remained dominant in the second round, landing more shots and securing multiple takedowns.

Collier came out of the gate extremely aggressively in the final round, but any and all momentum was cut off when Clark took him down to the mat. Collier grabbed a hold of Clark’s arm from the bottom and hoped for a kimura, but Clark wriggled out of it with the greatest of ease.

Collier would find his way back to his feet only to get taken right back down again where Clark would batter him with elbows. The fight would remain on the mat until the final moments where Clark worked his way up to his feet, whiffing on the final strike of the bout.

Devin Clark def. Jake Collier by way of Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)
