The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 2017 athlete summit retreat is ending tonight. While the retreat nearly went without its drama, it would appear that things have now changed.
Mixed martial arts journalist Ariel Helwani has taken to Twitter to report that former Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and UFC competitor Angela Magana have entered an altercation.
Over Twitter, Ariel Helwani stated “Cris Cyborg & Angela Magana just got into an altercation at the retreat. Words exchanged, tempers flared and Cyborg punched Magana.” Then, the reporter noted “Magana was rocked but didn’t fall to the ground. It was broken up after. Cyborg has been very upset about some personal tweets from Magana.”
Apparently the retreat has offered little in terms of security. Ariel Helwani stated over Twitter, “Hearing from many people there that tension is building and there’s little security present. The retreat, btw, ends tonight.”
