Cody Garbrandt Engages In Twitter Beef, With American Top Team Coach And Fighter

UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt engaged in a Twitter battle on Wednesday night over the latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption.

Garbrandt coached opposite of former champion TJ Dillashaw on the show.

UFC fighter Roan Carneiro was upset with Garbrandt’s matchmaking on the show. Carneiro was upset he made teammates fight when he booked Hayder Hassan to fight Dhiego Lima. “Jucao” is the Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ) and MMA coach at American Top Team in Atlanta where Lima trains.

“Lost my respect for you (Cody Garbrandt). I would see if an day you would fight your brother (Urijah Faber),” Carneiro tweeted at Garbrandt.

“I don’t know who are so (expletive) your respect! Hayder said he would ko Lima so we had him fight,” Garbrandt responded to the UFC middleweight.

“You elf looking mfer! Go cry somewhere else they don’t even train together his words not mine, survival of the fittest!” Garbrandt continued.

Hassan eventually stepped in and told people to stop blaming Garbrandt.

“I’m a grown man and said it was an easy fight! Diego whooped me and taught me a lesson and I’m stronger bc of it!” Hassan said.
