“No Love” — ‘If TJ Really Wanted To Fight Me, He’d Wait!’

UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt believes if former champion TJ Dillashaw truly wanted to fight him, he’d wait for him to recover from his injury.

On Tuesday, the UFC officially confirmed a bantamweight title fight between Garbrandt and Dillashaw on July 8, at UFC 213, had been canceled due to Garbrandt suffering a back injury.

Since news broke that Garbrandt may be injured, Dillashaw has been campaigning for a title fight against UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson.

However, Johnson does not believe Dillashaw is deserving of a shot at the 125-pound title.

“There’s other challengers in the division with more wins and on a winning streak,” Johnson told MMA Fighting. “This wouldn’t be a super-fight because TJ is not a champion. He’s just a 135er coming down to 125 to skip the line that other flyweight competitors have worked hard to climb.”

On Tuesday, Garbrandt said he agreed with Johnson.

“I agree with Dj, if tj really wanted to fight me he would wait!!” Garbrandt said in a tweet.
