ONE CEO Wouldn’t Sign Conor, Thinks McGregor Is Destined For Prison

CEO of the mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship recently sat down with MMA Fighting to explain that the fighting promotion is not that interested in Conor McGregor. The president explained that the situation could potentially get out of hand.

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui explained that Conor McGregor’s ability to draw in crowds is not their concern. Cui believes he could end up in jail.

“Let’s say we had a press conference in China and he threw a water bottle. I would go to jail. They’d put me in jail. I’m not kidding around.” Cui said, referencing McGregor’s incident with Nate Diaz.

“At the end of the shows in China, I meet with the government officials and they have a checklist. Did we play this song, did we play this song? If you played one extra song, they can throw me in jail and they’ve done that to other concert promoters.” Cui explained.
