UFC’s International Fight Week Books New Marquee Fights … And Things Are Looking STACKED !

An intriguing middleweight matchup between  Gerald Meerschaert and Thiago Santos has been added to UFC’s International Fight Week.

Meerschaert and Santos will fight at UFC 213 on July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Meerschaert is on a seven-fight win streak and is unbeaten in the UFC with two wins. His last four fights have ended by submission, including his two in the UFC. He is coming off an armbar submission win over Ryan Janes in February.

Santos is one of the top 185-pound fighters in the UFC. He is coming off a TKO win over Jack Marshman in February. Santos also has notable UFC wins over Elias Theodorou and Nate Marquardt.

The UFC has yet to announce the main event for UFC 213, but as of right now the card features a bantamweight title fight between current champion Cody Garbrandt and former champion TJ Dillashaw. The card is also expected to feature a lightweight fight between Anthony Pettis and Jim Miller as well as a welterweight fight between Robbie Lawler and Donald Cerrone.

UPDATE: Since the time of this publication, UFC officials also announced a heavyweight bout between Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem. This will mark their third fight, both men are 1-1 against each other.
