War Hero MMA Fighter Survives Memorial Day Weekend Assassination Attempt

The Phoenix Comic-Con just went underway, with some unfortunate circumstances. Mixed martial artist and former Green Power Ranger, Jason David Frank was present at the Comic-Con. However, an assassination attempt was allegedly made on his life.

As reported by Yahoo, police arrested Mathew Sterling on Thursday within the Phoenix Convention Center. The man made it inside the event with multiple firearms and knifes. The man has been booked for “one count of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, wearing body armor during the commission of a felony, resisting arrest and carrying a weapon in a prohibited place.”

Mathew Sterling was allegedly targeting the mixed martial artist. On the suspect’s calendar, allegedly there was a reminder “Kill JDF” for the date.

In an interview, Jason David Frank, who suffered no injuries, stated “I’m very grateful to the Phoenix police department for their brave and outstanding efforts, which avoided a terrible tragedy, as recently seen at the concert in Manchester.”
