Audit Reveals That Most Of Roy Nelson’s Twitter Is Bought Fake Followers — More Than Two-Thirds His Following

Roy Nelson is one of the most beloved heavyweight fighters in all of MMA, but his Twitter followers suggest otherwise.

According to the website Twitter Audit, the majority of Nelson’s Twitter followers are fake.

According to the audit, less than 150,000 of Nelson’s followers are real, while almost 400,000 are fake.

Regardless, Nelson is still one of the most popular fighters in the history of the heavyweight division.

Nelson recently left the UFC and joined Bellator MMA. He is expected to make his debut in the promotion sometime in the near future.

Nelson left the UFC coming off of a loss. In April, he lost a decision to Alexander Volkov.

The former Ultimate Fighter winner has had some rough luck in his most recent fights. Nelson has only won three of his last 10 UFC fights.

Nelson’s UFC career was highlighted by wins over Brendan Schaub, Stefan Struve, Mirko Cro Cop, Matt Mitrione, Cheick Kongo, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Jared Rosholt, and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
