Breaking: Conor Released From Reebok Contract For Fight With Mayweather


Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor is currently gearing up for the likley payday of his career. The mixed martial artist is set to face off against undefeated boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside the boxing ring.

With both fighters having signed their respective contracts, the fight is set to go down Aug. 26 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Now, it has been revealed that Conor “Notorious” McGregor has been released from his UFC Reebok uniform deal for the epic cross-promotional bout.

As reported by Sean Sheehan over Twitter, “On #TheMMAHour, @AudieAttar tells @arielhelwani that Conor McGregor is free to negotiate with apparel brands for the Mayweather fight.”

This is huge for MMA’s biggest star, and it will be interesting to see what kind of blue chip offers he will get.
