A GoFundMe campaign for the funeral expenses of former UFC fighter Tim Hague has reached its goal in less than 24 hours.
As of this writing, the campaign as raised over $31,000. As more donations have come in, the family of Hague has increased their goal in order to pay for all funeral costs and any other expenses that may come up.
Hague, 34, passed away after being knocked out in a boxing match. After being knocked out, Hague recovered and managed to walk out of the ring. However, he was then taken to the hospital and received emergency surgery for a brain injury. He passed away shortly after the surgery.
Hague is most known for his stint in the UFC. His UFC tenure was highlighted by a submission win over Pat Barry.
Outside of fighting, Hague worked as an elementary school teacher. He leaves behind a nine-year-old son.
