UFC 212 Will Not Be Vitor Belfort’s Last UFC Fight

Vitor Belfort’s UFC contract does not expire after his fight at UFC 212.

Combate, and other sources, have confirmed that Belfort still has one more fight on his UFC contract after he fights this Saturday.

While Belfort still may retire following his next fight, he will not be able to go compete elsewhere. Belfort has hinted at leaving the UFC to pursue fights against Chael Sonnen, Wanderlei Silva, and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell.

Belfort will fight Nate Marquardt on June 3 at UFC 212 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Belfort has been winless in his last three fights. All of his recent fights have ended in TKO losses to Kelvin Gastelum, Gegard Mousasi, and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza. However, his fight with Gastelum was later ruled a no contest due to Gastelum testing positive for marijuana use.

UFC 212 will be headlined by UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo defending his title against Interim UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway.
