Vitor Belfort 2.0 Is Born — Borrachinha Goes To War With Bamgbose, Remains Unbeaten

The UFC returned to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for one of the most highly anticipated fights of the year.

At UFC 212, UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway unified his title Interim UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway in the main event.

Before the main event took place, the UFC provided another night full of intriguing matchups.

Undefeated middleweight prospect Paulo Borrachinha received an opportunity to shine on the big stage when he fought Oluwale Bamgbose.

Bamgbose landed the first powerful shot of the first round. Borrachinha controlled the cage, but Bamgbose was more active. Bamgbose when for a takedown and got his opponent to the mat. Borrachinha did not stay down long. Bamgbose landed another takedown but he could not get his opponent down. Borrachinha began landing devastating body kicks. He continued his onslaught while Bamgobse covered himself up against the fence. Bamgbose used a takedown attempt to escape being against the cage. The round ended with Bamgbose securing the takedown.

Borrachinha controlled the cage to start the middle round. Both fighters began throwing hard punches. Bamgbose threw a body kick but fell. Borrachina swarmed him with punches on the ground forcing the referee to stop the fight.
