UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor appeared to have a great time celebrating yesterday’s historic news.
On Wednesday, McGregor confirmed that he will be fighting Floyd “Money” Mayweather in his next fight. Both fighters have agreed to terms to fight in a boxing match. The two will fight in a 12-round fight at 154 pounds.
Later in the day, McGregor posted a picture of him and his friends celebrating the big news.
McGregor is already the highest paid fighter in the UFC. After he fights Mayweather, McGregor will be one of the highest paid athletes in all of sports.
McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut when he fights Mayweather. After being retired for almost two years, Mayweather is returning to the sport to compete in his 50th professional fight. Mayweather is currently undefeated with 49 wins.
Mayweather vs. McGregor is scheduled to take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
