Conor Confesses: ‘My racial jokes were not a hit’

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor came under fire after the end of the first stop on the Mayweather vs. McGregor press conference world tour.

Stopping in Los Angeles, California, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. came face to face for a staredown and some trash-talking. During the event, Conor McGregor made a statement to his opponent that has since come under scrutiny.

In an interview with The Mac Life, as transcribed by MMA Fighting, Conor McGregor explained “It didn’t really hit right. I’m just gonna stay where it is and leave it out. I know who I am as a person. I think most realistic people can look and know.”
