Conor McGregor Gives Bruce Lee’s Fighting Style The Ultimate Compliment

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor believes martial arts icon Bruce Lee could have been a world champion in the UFC.

“I have no doubt that he would have been a world champion in MMA,” McGregor said about Lee.

“No doubt. He’s fluid. He’s loose, He’s fast. His movement is fluid. It’s efficient. It’s functional.”

Despite having never competed in the sport, Lee is considered to be one of the godfathers of mixed martial arts.

Lee martial arts techniques and philosophies inspired many of the best MMA fighters in history, and he is still inspiring new fighters today.

Lee tragically died in 1973, twenty years before the first UFC event took place.

McGregor is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in MMA today. He is the only fighter in UFC history to hold two UFC titles at the same time.

McGregor is currently preparing to make his professional boxing debut. On Aug. 26, McGregor will fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in Las Vegas.
