UFC Veteran Charged And Arrested Following Assault On A Family Member

Former UFC fighter Cody Pfister was arrested and charged with assault and causing bodily injury to a family member on Saturday.

Pfister was sent to the Potter County Detention Center in Amarillo, TX where he was later released on bail for $5,000.

The former UFC fighter was arrested the night before his first self-promoted MMA event in Texas. Even though he was arrested, Pfister managed to attend the MMA event.

Pfister made his Bellator MMA debut earlier this year. In March, he submitted Jonathan Gary.

Pfister was released by the UFC after going on a two-fight losing streak. In 2015, Pfister was submitted by UFC lightweight Sage Northcutt. In his following fight, Pfister lost a decision to Scott Holtzman.

Overall, Pfister had a 1-3 UFC record. His only UFC win came against Yosdenis Cedeno in July 2015. He lost his UFC debut earlier that year after being submitted by James Moontasri.
