UFC’s Weidman vs. Gastelum Event Delivers Worst Ratings Ever

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently put on another exciting event. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion made its first appearance in Long Island, New York. However, it would appear that the event did not pull the kind of ratings that the promotion may have hoped for.

UFC on FOX 25 went down Saturday night, July 22, inside the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. In the night’s main event, former UFC middleweight champion and New York native Chris Weidman pulled himself out of a three fight losing streak. The former champion earned a submission victory over Kelvin Gastelum.

As reported by MMA Fighting,  UFC on FOX 25 had the lowest overnight ratings in the promotion’s history of UFC on FOX events. Last weekend’s event pulled 1.64 million viewers in total, beating out the second lowest viewings of 1.74 million  for UFC on FOX 24.
