Conor’s Father Remembers His Son’s Very First Boxing Class

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor’s father recently told the story about his son’s first boxing class.

According to his father, McGregor was in love with the sport right after his first few lessons.

“When he got his first few lessons in boxing, he came home one day and said, ‘Why didn’t you put me in boxing years ago?’ You just don’t know with kids. You don’t know how they are going to turn out,” McGregor’s father said.

Even though McGregor loved boxing at an early age, McGregor made a name for himself in the world of mixed martial arts.

In the UFC, McGregor became the first fighter in history to hold two UFC championships at the same time. He is currently considered as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.

McGregor is currently preparing to fight in his first professional boxing match. On Aug. 26, McGregor will fight boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
