Dana White Explains How The Woodley Beef Got Squashed, Following Tyron’s Threats

UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley was not happy with UFC President Dana White following UFC 214.

On Saturday, Woodley defended his title against Demian Maia in the co-main event. Woodley earned a unanimous decision victory in a fight that didn’t have people at the edge of their seats.

After the fights, White talked to the media and insulted Woodley’s performance.

Woodley responded to White by demanding a public apology. The UFC champion said he would leak information about White and the UFC if the UFC figurehead didn’t apologize.

Since then, White told TMZ Sports that he and Woodley have talked and their issues have been taken care of.

“Woodley and I talked and he said he was just pissed and upset and didn’t mean it,” White said.

TMZ also asked Woodley about the situation and he responded by saying “We good.”

Since winning the UFC title last July, Woodley has defended the title on three separate occasions. Woodley won the title by knocking out Robbie Lawler. He then defended the title twice against Stephen Thompson. Their first fight ended in a draw and the second fight ended with Woodley earning a decision victory.
