Dana White’s Idol, And Part UFC Owner, Is Pulling For Floyd To Beat Conor

It appears UFC President Dana White’s idol will not be rooting for UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor on Saturday night.

During a recent interview with ESPN, Floyd “Money” Mayweather revealed he is close friends with Tom Brady, who is the quarterback for the New England Patriots.

It is no secret White is a major fan of the Patriots and idolizes Brady. On top of White being a huge fan of his, Brady also owns a percentage of the UFC.

“Tom Brady’s a very, very close friend. An unbelievable guy with unbelievable talent. He’s a great guy,” Mayweather told ESPN.

Actually, Tom Brady texted me (Tuesday). We have a cool friendship. He texted me and asked me how everything’s going, and I texted him back, ‘Everything’s cool, how are you doing? How’s the family?’ He said everything’s going A-okay.”

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
