Details: Jon Jones Only Trained Two Days, Then Went And Beat Ryan Bader Easily

It appears UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones may have only trained for two days prior to his fight in 2011 against Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader.

On recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, Rogan and retired heavyweight fighter Brendan Schaub discussed Jones’ greatness inside the Octagon.

While naming off his accomplishments, Schaub revealed that Jones’ team had only seen him two days before his fight with Bader.

“Ryan Bader is freaking good. I think he’s ranked No. 4 or 5 in the world. (Jones) Doesn’t even really train,” Schaub said. “They said they saw him like two days, and he went in there and cradled him like a baby and whooped his (expletive) in the first round.”

At UFC 126, Jones submitted Bader in the second round of their fight. After defeating Bader, Jones was offered his first title opportunity in the UFC.

Since then, Jones has gone on to be one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. He has won 11 title fights in his UFC career and is currently in his second reign as UFC champion.
