Floyd Mayweather Responds To The Beef Between Conor And His “Good Friend” Paulie

Floyd “Money” Mayweather has responded to the beef between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi.

Malignaggi recently left McGregor’s training camp after not being happy with the way he was treated by McGregor and his team. The former boxing champion was upset about photos released of McGregor landing shots on him.

Malignaggi had traveled to Las Vegas to help McGregor train for his professional boxing debut. Later this month, McGregor is scheduled to fight Mayweather in Las Vegas.

On Thursday, Mayweather talked about the situation between McGregor and Malignaggi during his media day.

Mayweather said he didn’t want to get involved in their beef, but he commends Malignaggi for training with McGregor and helping him prepare for their fight.

“Paul is a friend of mine. I respect him as a fighter. He is one of the best commentators out there,” Mayweather said.

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
