HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK DIAZ! #100 #SLAP #SLAP

Former UFC title challenger Nick Diaz turned 34 years old on Wednesday.

At just age 34, Diaz has managed to have quite the career in the world of MMA.

Diaz professional MMA career started less than a month after he turned 18. Just two years after that, Diaz made his UFC debut in 2003 at UFC 44.

However, it wasn’t until after Diaz left the UFC that he became one of the most recognizable figures in the sport.

In 2009, Diaz made his Strikeforce debut, and on his first night in the promotion, he defeated former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Frank Shamrock.

Within a year of being in Strikeforce, Diaz won the promotion’s welterweight title.

Diaz dominance and exciting performances as champion made him one of MMA’s biggest stars.

In 2011, Diaz returned to the UFC and decimated BJ Penn. From there, Diaz went on to fight for two different UFC titles but was on the losing end of decisions against Carlos Condit and Georges St-Pierre. Diaz has not fought in the sport since 2015.

Diaz has spent the last few years away from the sport and is enjoying life after MMA. For his birthday, Diaz went on a trip to Las Vegas.
