“I’m a 170 pound Irish gorilla” … “Floyd’s head is getting ripped off!”

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is extremely confident going into his fight with Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

On Friday, UFC President Dana White shared a video clip on his Instagram of McGregor training for his professional boxing debut.

“Back to Floyd, he’s sparring 135-pound kids. You think I’m a 135-pound kid?” McGregor said.

“I’m a 170-pound Irish gorilla, and I’m going to rip his head off and play football with it.”

Next week, one of the biggest fights in combat sports history will take place when McGregor and Mayweather square off inside the boxing ring.

Despite not having fought as a professional boxer, McGregor is one of the most lethal strikers in all of MMA. In the UFC, McGregor won two UFC championships by knocking out former champions Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez.

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
