Still Hating — ‘Conor Didn’t Land 111 Punches … He Landed 10’

On ESPN, Max Kellerman admitted he was wrong about UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

On Tuesday, Kellerman discussed McGregor’s professional boxing debut against Floyd “Money” Mayweather. At first, Kellerman praised McGregor’s performance and said he was impressed with what McGregor did throughout the fight. But as he was talking highly of McGregor, he ended up downgrading some of McGregor’s accomplishments in the fight.

In the fight, McGregor landed 111 punches against Mayweather, who is widely considered the greatest defensive boxer of all time. However, Kellerman believes McGregor only landed 10 or 12 punches. Kellerman was still impressed by the 10 or 12 punches he landed, but he refused to give McGregor credit for landing over 100 strikes against Mayweather.

In the video below, you can listen to Kellerman talk about McGregor’s performance.

Mayweather ended up defeating McGregor in the 10th round. Even though McGregor looked good early, Mayweather got more aggressive as the fight went on. In the 10th round, Mayweather finished the fight by TKO.
