Teammate: ‘Ronda Rousey Has The Skills To Be WWE’s Best Pro Wrestler’

One of former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey’s teammates thinks Rousey could be one of the best professional wrestlers in the WWE.

Rousey’s teammate, and close friend, Shayna Baszler thinks Rousey would be successful in the WWE if she decided to join the world of professional wrestling.

Baszler talked about Rousey joining the WWE during a recent episode of The MMA Hour.

“Ronda’s a natural athlete,” Baszler said. “Just learning a different rule set and bringing what she has from MMA would be the same, does her judo translate to MMA, will her MMA translate to pro wrestling? She’s been pretty successful one way, and I think she’ll be pretty successful the other way.

“Ronda’s one of those people that when she learns something, she goes in hard. If she wants to pursue this, she should pursue this to where she would be one of the best, so we’ll see.”

Baszler was recently signed by the WWE and said she would be happy if one of her closest friends joined her. Baszler made her WWE debut as part of the WWE’s first Mae Young Classic. The tournament features 32 female wrestlers from around the world and will air on the WWE Network later this month.
