On A Quest For Gold, Gokhan Saki Resumes Training Camp 3 Days After His UFC Debut

Kickboxing phenom Gokhan Saki has decided that he wants to take over the world of mixed martial arts. And, it would appear that the fighter is on the right track. The former Glory Kickboxing star had only fought one time in mixed martial arts and that was a loss from 2004 when he didn’t understand what he was getting into. Saki had also been away from the fight game for a few years.

“My last fight with Glory was in 2014 with Tyrone Spong and then after that, one year later I had another fight, so in the last three and a half years I only fought one time,” Saki said on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour.

Saki made his UFC debut last week at UFC Fight Night 117. For his debut, Saki took on Henrique da Silva in a light heavyweight match up. Henrique da Silva attempted to dump on the pressure to his opponent at the start of the fight. However, da Silva was quickly rocked from a stunning blow by Saki.

Still Henrique da Silva managed to pressure his opponent into the fence later in the round, with Saki appearing gassed from the struggle. In the end, it didn’t matter much. Gokha Saki finished his opponent with a devastating punch, earning the kickboxing phenom a knockout victory in his UFC debut

Only three days removed from his UFC debut, Gokhan Saki took to Twitter to reveal that he has already begun training for his next octagon performance.

Here is what Gokhan Saki had to say:

“Started my training for the second fight. I’m coming. @ufc @UFCEurope #ufc”
