Latifi Ends The Hype, Hands Tyson Pedro His First Ever Defeat

On Saturday, UFC 215 took place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Undefeated light heavyweight prospect Tyson Pedro fought his toughest challenge inside the Octagon when he collided with Ilir Latifi on the pay-per-view main card.

Pedro attacked with kicks to start out the fight. Early in the round, Pedro continued to be the aggressor. Eventually, Latifi was able to secure a takedown. Pedro managed to scramble back to his feet. Pedro went for a kick but ate a punch. Latifi then absorbed a hard kick to the body. Latifi then landed another takedown when Pedro went for a high kick. Pedro fought back to his feet in the final minute of the round. Latifi kept his opponent against the cage, but at the end of the round, Pedro escaped and got back to the center of the Octagon.

Latifi landed a quick combination of punches early in round two. Pedro later landed a kick to the body, and Latifi responded with a kick to the leg. Latifi then landed a couple quick punches to the head. Midway into the round, Latifi went for a takedown and slammed Pedro to the ground. As Pedro fought to his feet, Latifi landed hard punches to Pedro’s head. The round ended with Latifi holding Pedro against the cage.

Latifi was the more aggressive fighter at the start of the final round. Pedro tried to land kicks, while Latiti threw flurries of punches. Latifi landed a clean combination to Pedro’s head, but Pedro kept moving forward. Latifi went for a takedown and slammed Pedro to the ground once again. For the rest of the round, Latifi smothered Pedro on the ground with punches.
