UFC 215: McMann Dominant Early, Gets Submitted With Her Signature Choke By Undefeated Prospect

The UFC returned to Canada on Saturday night for UFC 215. The card was stacked with champions, contenders, and up-and-coming prospects.

In the final preliminary fight, former title challenger Sara McMann fought fellow women’s bantamweight contender Ketlen Vieira.

McMann landed a couple punches before going for a takedown early in the fight. Vieira fought to stay on her feet for as long as she could. Eventually, McMann got Vieira to the mat. On the ground, McMann attacked with elbows from on top. McMann later gained full mount and unloaded punches. Vieira managed to lock in a leg lock to finish the round.

McMann went for a takedown early in the second round. Vieira stayed on her feet and landed multiple punches and elbows. McMann kept the fight against the cage and landed shots of her own. Later in the round, Vieira took McMann to the ground. Vieira went for a head-and-arm choke and was forced to submit.
