Colby Covington Issues Formal Apology To “Filthy Animals” In Brazil

Top ranked UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington made good on all of his pre-fight trash talk with his big win over Demian Maia at UFC Fight Night 119.  Covington was able to put some leather on an exhausted Maia, particularly in the third round when the Brazilian grappler was running on fumes.

Following the fight, Colby poured the trash talk on even harder when he cussed out the Brazilian fans and called out UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.  As he exited the arena, the fans were throwing things at him and his team as they ran towards the back.

Check out what Colby Covington had to say earlier about the entire incident.

“I went to work last week. I was screamed at, spit at, assaulted with water bottles and other objects by an angry mob an serenaded by 10000 voices yelling ‘you’re going to die.’ My employer had to place security at my hotel room to protect me.

I would like to apologize to any filthy animal I offended by comparing them to my hosts in Sao Paulo

Sincerely,

Colby Covington”
