Report: Jon Jones Loses Another Sponsor, Dropped By Monster Energy

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones has been thrown a bit of an ordeal as of late. Coming off of a USADA enforced suspension from the UFC, Jon Jones made his UFC return against rival and reigning champion Daniel Cormier. However it was later revealed that Jon Jones failed his drug test for the event, bringing Jon’s title reign to an abrupt end.

Now, it would appear that Jones has potentially lost another large sponsor.

As reported by multiple undisclosed sources around the MMA-universe, Jon Jones’ athlete account with Monster Energy is no longer active. As seen in the screenshot below, Jon Jones’ account is experiencing a 404 error.

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier made their title fight rematch at UFC 214 earlier this year. The former UFC light heavyweight champion made short work of his opponent, earning a knockout victory over Daniel Cormier. Cormier’s only other loss was by decision to “Bones” back in 2015.

With Jones having failed his drug test for UFC 214, the fight was overturned and Daniel Cormier is once again the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion.
