Following Jon Jones’ recent failed drug test, Daniel Cormier was granted back his UFC light heavyweight title after losing to the fighter at UFC 214. The loss has since been overturned to a no contest. Now, Cormier is looking to get back inside the winning column as the champion. For his next fight, Cormier has revealed that he wishes to face off against tough contender Volkan Oezdemir.
Oezdemir has only suffered a single loss in his mixed martial arts career, as the fighter is now riding an impressive five fight winning streak. As seen in the Twitter post below, Oezdemir revealed that he believes he can knock the champion out within the first round.
