Joanna Jedrzejczyk Wants Her Belt Back, Looking To Book A Rematch Against “Thug” Rose

Joanna Jedrzejczyk quickly became one of the UFC’s most dominant competitors in the strawweight division. Amassing a 14 fight winning streak as an undefeated fighter, Jedrzejczyk seemed unbeatable for many competitors. But, at UFC 217 that would all change.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) made their second ever appearance at the world famous Madison Square Garden Arena in New York on Saturday for UFC 217. The exciting event hosted a collection of exhilarating match ups, including three different title fights.

Competing on the pay-per-view main card, UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk was looking to add yet another successful title defense to her record as she faced off against “Thug” Rose Namajunas. However Namjunas put on a dazzling display over her opponent, earning a knockout victory in the first round.

Now Jedrzejczyk has come forward to reveal that she is motivated for a rematch against the newly UFC strawweight champion. Speaking to UFC reporter Megan Olivi, Jedrzejczyk said “I will talk to Dana about a rematch. If not, I will take one fight before I fight for the title. We will see.”
