Jose Aldo Reacts To Booking Holloway Title Shot On Two-Weeks Notice, Isn’t Thrilled

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up for another exciting night of fights, as the mixed martial arts promotion is getting ready for UFC 218. That being said, the exciting fight card recently had a big change in the night’s headliner.

UFC 218 goes down Dec. 2 inside the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan and will be available live on pay-per-view. The night’s headliner was initially set to see UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway make his first title defense against Frankie Edgar. However, Edgar has since been pulled from the night’s main event due to an injury.

Now former champion Jose Aldo has locked in the replacement spot as Holloway’s new opponent for the exciting fight card. Holloway unified his interim title with a TKO finish over Aldo at UFC 212. Now the fighter will have to take on “Scarface” once more.

Responding to the news, Jose Aldo offered a rather unorthodox comment over Instagram. In the post below, Aldo stated (translated):

“It is what it is!! #reebok #reebokbrasil #vitafornutrientes #vitafor #famousburger # ufc218 #fenix”

É o que é!! #reebok #reebokbrasil #vitafornutrientes #vitafor #famousburger #ufc218 #fenix

While the fighter does not appear terribly excited about the news, Holloway will still have a difficult fight on his hands come Dec. 2.
