Khabib Nurmagomedov Joins D.C. At AKA HQ Ahead Of UFC Return

They say iron sharpens iron…

Set to return to action as pat of December’s UFC 219 event, top ranked UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov has returned to the American Kickboxing Academy headquarters, in San Jose, California.

The world-renowned MMA training facility, better known as AKA, houses some of the most elite-level fighters on the planet. Fighters the likes of current UFC champion Daniel Cormier, former champion Luke Rockhold, and former champion Cain Velasquez were all born and bread at the gym under head coach Javier Mendez.

Khabib will have to prove once again that he deserves his number one world ranking when he faces off with the very dangerous Edson Barboza on December 30th, in Las Vegas.

As such, he has officially made the jump back across the pond, and D.C. took to instagram, excited by the news.
