Oscar De La Hoya’s Been Training In Secret, Calls Out Conor McGregor For Fight Of The Decade

Well, it would appear that former boxing champion and overall pugilist phenom Oscar De La Hoya would like a super-fight of his own.

While Oscar Da La Hoya had multiple heated exchanges with UFC President Dana White over Conor McGregor’s boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr., the former boxing champion now wants to see McGregor inside the squared circle.

Speaking on Dash Radio, as provided by The Mac Life, Oscar De La Hoya revealed that he has secretly been training for “Notorious.”

“You know I’m competitive. You know I still have it in me. I’ve been secretly training. Secretly training. I’m faster than ever, and stronger than ever. I know I could take out Conor McGregor in two rounds. I’ll come back for that fight. Two rounds.

“Just one more. I’m calling him out. Two rounds. That’s all I need. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Speaking on McGregor, the former boxer added:

“He’s a big Irishman. He’s the king. He’s the king. Hey, let’s get it straight: in the cage, he would freakin’ destroy me. He would destroy me!

“No, [we have to fight] in the ring.”
