“Platinum” Mike Perry Offers To Move Up, Replace Silva Against Gastelum On Super Short Notice

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastelum were initially set to face off at UFC 212. However, Gastelum was pulled from their match up after failing a drug test for marijuana metabolites. Next, the fighters were rescheduled to headline the UFC’s visit to Shanghai, China at UFC Fight Night 122 on Nov. 25. Of course, there main event match up has since been pulled. Anderson Silva has been flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping policy violation.

With the fight only weeks away, one UFC competitor has come forward to offer his name as a potential replacement opponent for “The Spider.”

UFC welterweight Mike Perry is already set to take on Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC on FOX 26 on Dec. 16. That being said, it would appear that the fighter is more than willing to make the weight for a middleweight match up against Kelvin Gastelum for UFC Fight Night 122.

Taking to Twitter, Perry stated:

“Chin check @KelvinGastelum before Pinocchio @Abraham_kawa ?”
