“Thug” Rose Says No To A Joanna Rematch, ‘She tapped to strikes, it wasn’t some fluke’

Before Saturday’s UFC 217 event, Joanna Jedrzejczyk was only focused on breaking Ronda Rousey’s title defense record. And after losing to “Thug” Rose Namjunas in the first round of their title fight, she failed to realize that dream.

Prior to losing her belt, Jedrzejczyk also said she wanted to move up not only one, but to two different divisions, and retire undefeated as a two-division champ.

Sadly, her ambition got stopped short after just three-minutes inside the cage with “Thug” Rose Namajunas.

UFC president Dana White and Joanna Jedrzejczyk both hint that a rematch is likely the next step, but now Rose is saying, screw all that. Because Joanna actually tapped out to strikes.

Talking to Monday’s edition of the MMA Hour, Rose stated,

“I don’t think so. I don’t know how that could… I mean anything’s possible, right? I don’t think that a first round knockout, and she tapped due to strikes. Like, it wasn’t … I mean even though she was stumbling afterwards there was still some part of her that tapped. That was not a fluke.”

Thoughts?
