Julian Marquez Submits Darren Stewart In Round 2 | UFC Results

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Winnipeg, Canada for UFC on FOX 26 on Saturday, Dec. 16. Inside the Bell MTS Place, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting a night filled with exciting match ups. Among them, MMA warriors Julian Marquez and Darren Stewart are now throwing down inside the octagon. See the UFC results below.

The fight kicked off with Stewart earning a quick takedown over Marquez. Stewart managed to make his way back to his feet, but suffered another takedown to his opponent quickly after.

Halfway through the first round, Marquez made his way to his feet and began trading vicious blows with his opponent. Stewart offered a rough punch combination to his opponent, but Marquez retaliated with a series of strong knees to Stewart’s body.

Stewart managed to get the back of his opponent from the standing position with 90 seconds left in the round, but failed to sink in a submission.

In the closing 30 seconds of the round, Marquez managed to score a submission attempt over his opponent but failed to get a finish before the sound of the bell.

The second round picked up at a slower pace, as the fighters appeared to respect each other’s power. Marquez then locked in a standing guillotine attempt over Stewart, before transitioning to a brutal knee to the head of his opponent.

Back in the center of the octagon, the two fighters began to trade with strikes that had the Winnipeg crowd on their feet. Marquez made another submission attempt over his opponent, this time choking out Stewart with a guillotine for the win.
