Khabib Offers To Fight Both McGregor And Ferguson In The Same Night, And He’s Not Joking

Khabib Nurmagomedov

Top UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has been away from the octagon for the year of 2017. “The Eagle” was originally set to fight Tony Ferguson for the interim lightweight title earlier this year. However, Nurmagomedov was rushed to the hospital due to weight management issues. As a result, the fight was pulled from the night’s event. After spending much of the year recovering from the debilitating incident, the fighter made his big return at Saturday night’s, Dec. 30, UFC 219.

Nurmagomedov went toe-to-toe with Edson Barboza, putting on a dominant performance over the talented striker. After going three rounds with the fighter, Nurmagomedov earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. In the post-fight press conference, “The Eagle” revealed that he is not only ready to take on interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson. Instead, Nurmagomedov believes he could take on “El Cucuy” and Conor McGregor in the same night.

“When I talked about at the beginning of this week that I can fight with Tony [Ferguson] and after a couple hours, if the UFC gives me a rest, I can fight with Conor [McGregor]. People think I am trash-talking.”
